어느 계절에나 아름다운 피레네 산맥은 초기 문명이 정착 한 이래로 이베리아 반도와 유럽의 나머지 지역 사이의 자연 국경 역할을했습니다. 범위의 중심에 위치한 Ordesa y Monte Perdido 국립 공원은 1918 년에 만들어졌으며 1982 년에 확장되었습니다. 오늘은 유네스코 세계 문화 유산입니다.

깎아지른 절벽과 깊고 초록빛 계곡이있는 공원의 풍경은 피레네 산맥의 급격한 고도 변화에 의해 형성된 지질 학적 지형과 다양한 생태학의 놀라운 전시입니다. 이 지역은 Pyrenean chamois와 Pyrenean desman 또는 물 두더지를 포함하여 여기에서만 발견 할 수있는 여러 종의 본거지입니다. 이 지역에서 가장 희귀하고 가장 중요한 것으로 간주되는 포유류 인 부카르도 또는 피레네 이벡스 (Pyrenean ibex)는 보존 노력에도 불구하고 2000 년 1 월에 멸종되었습니다.

Beautiful in any season, the Pyrenees have served as a natural border between the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of Europe since the earliest civilizations settled there. Located in the centre of the range, the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park was created in 1918 and expanded in 1982. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

With sheer cliffs and deep, verdant valleys, the park’s landscape is a remarkable display of geological landforms and diverse ecologies shaped by the drastic elevation changes of the Pyrenees. The region is home to several species that can only be found here, including the Pyrenean chamois and the Pyrenean desman, or water mole. The mammal considered the rarest and most important in the region, the bucardo or Pyrenean ibex, went extinct in January 2000 despite preservation efforts.
